The Samsung Galaxy notification is the default alert tone associated with Samsung Galaxy smartphones, where it signals incoming messages, emails and other app notifications. Because Galaxy phones are used worldwide, the short chime became one of the most recognisable phone sounds of the smartphone era, instantly signalling a message without words. On soundboards and in short-form video, it is reused far beyond its original purpose, usually to fake a notification, startle a viewer into checking their own phone, or add a familiar everyday detail to a meme.
About this sound
The Samsung Galaxy notification chime, a short melodic tone for incoming messages and alerts, often used in videos to mimic a phone alert.
This clip captures the familiar Samsung Galaxy notification sound, a bright, clean four-second chime built from soft synthesized bells and a gentle rising melody that feels instantly recognisable to anyone who has owned a Samsung phone. It is crisp and polite rather than loud or jarring, with a smooth, almost glassy tone that cuts through background noise without sounding harsh. Hearing it triggers an almost automatic glance at a phone, which is exactly why creators use it to fake an incoming message, interrupt a scene, or add a touch of everyday realism to a skit.
