The chant comes from the opening of My Deer Friend Nokotan, the 2024 anime adaptation of Oshioshio's manga about a former delinquent who befriends a girl who is secretly a deer. Its repetitive title lyric quickly became a viral dance and sound on TikTok and other short-form platforms in summer 2024, where users mimicked the hand gestures and deer-like movements. The clip remains popular because the rhythm is easy to recognise, easy to lip-sync, and instantly signals the show's cheerful, surreal humour to anime fans.
About this sound
The catchy deer chant from the opening of My Deer Friend Nokotan, sung in a bright, repetitive anime style. Fans use it for deer edits and playful meme videos.
This clip captures the instantly recognisable chant at the heart of the My Deer Friend Nokotan opening, with voices bouncing back and forth in a fast, sing-song rhythm that spells out the show's deer-filled title. The melody is light and bouncy, almost like a playground rhyme, and it builds into a cheerful, slightly chaotic energy that sticks in the head long after it ends. Hearing just a few seconds is enough to trigger the image of Nokotan and her antlers, which is why the sound feels both cute and absurd at the same time, perfect for moments that need an unexpected burst of anime silliness.
