About this sound

A rare, high-pitched scream sound effect from SMG4's Mario bloopers. Creators use it for sudden scares, fails and chaotic cartoon reaction moments.

This is one of SMG4's rarer scream clips, a short burst of exaggerated cartoon panic lifted from his chaotic Mario blooper universe. It opens with a sharp, rising yelp that quickly breaks into a frantic, wobbling shriek, layered with that rubbery, over-the-top energy his edits are known for. It does not sound like a real person in distress, it sounds like a character completely losing it. Dropped into a video, it instantly sells shock, embarrassment or total meltdown, turning an awkward fail or jump scare into something much funnier and more dramatic.

Pro tip

Drop it right on the frame where the character realizes what went wrong, not before. Cut the scream slightly early and hard-cut to silence for extra comedy. Avoid layering it over dialogue, its high pitch fights voices and loses impact.

How people use it

A streamer screams after a sudden jumpscare in a horror game.
An editor punctuates a cartoon character's epic fail compilation.
A TikToker reacts to an unexpectedly terrible cooking result.
A meme highlights a friend's over-the-top rage quit moment.
