About this sound

A muffled voice hums mmmmmmmmmm after saying something is in my ass, a crude reaction sound used in memes and comedy edits for awkward, gross-out moments.

This short clip pairs a blunt, matter-of-fact line about something being in the speaker's ass with a long, low, drawn-out mmmmmmmmmm that trails off as if they are processing the discomfort in real time. The voice sounds close to the microphone, slightly muffled and deadpan, which makes the hum feel more awkward than loud or dramatic. The joke lands because the hum stretches far longer than expected, turning a crude complaint into a slow, uncomfortable pause. Listeners tend to laugh at the absurdity and the commitment to the bit, especially when the sound cuts in unexpectedly over an otherwise normal scene.

Pro tip

Drop it right after a character sits down or gets hit, then hold on their face while the hum plays out. Do not cut it short or layer music over it, because the long, uncomfortable pause is what sells the joke.

How people use it

A creator drops it after a painful-looking fall.
It plays over a character sitting down awkwardly.
An editor uses it for an embarrassing bathroom joke.
It punctuates a failed stunt or prank gone wrong.

More information

This clip appears to be a user-generated soundboard upload rather than a line taken from a well-known film, show, or game, and no clear original source is widely documented for it. Its appeal comes from the combination of a crude one-liner and an exaggerated hum, a format that fits short-form comedy, reaction videos, and meme edits where a single awkward noise can carry the punchline. Because it is short, instantly recognisable, and easy to drop into a scene, it continues to circulate as a gross-out reaction sound for creators who want an unexpected, uncomfortable laugh.

FAQ

What is the Something in My Ass Mmm sound?

It is a short voice clip in which someone states that something is in their ass and then lets out a long, muffled mmmmmmmmmm hum. The drawn-out hum turns the crude line into an awkward pause, which is why creators use it as a comedy reaction.

Where is this sound from?

No widely documented film, television show, or game source is known for this clip, and it appears to circulate as a user-generated soundboard upload. That uncertainty has not stopped its use, since the hum itself is distinctive enough to work without a famous origin.

How do creators use this sound in videos?

Creators usually place it immediately after an awkward, painful, or embarrassing moment and let the hum play in full over a reaction shot. It works best on its own, without music or extra effects, so the long pause and discomfort become the joke.
