About this sound

This 1.6-second voice clip is a single person yelling the Greek word stamata, meaning stop, with the final vowel stretched into a long scream. It feels frantic and funny at once, turning plain frustration, panic and disbelief into an over-the-top outburst that lands even if you do not understand Greek.

Pro tip

Play it a fraction before the visual mistake peaks, not after, so the scream feels like the person on screen is trying to stop it in time.

Good to know

Place this clip at the top of a reaction stack, then follow it with the scream meme sound for a bigger meltdown or the emotional damage meme sound when the fallout is the joke. Keep it as the interrupting beat before the payoff shot.

FAQ

Can I set the Stamata scream as my ringtone?

Yes, save the MP3 and assign it as your ringtone in phone sound settings. Use it for one persistent contact, so the stop joke stays specific and does not wear out quickly.

Who is the Stamata scream funniest for in a group chat?

It lands best with friends who already overreact for comedy, because everyone reads it as playful panic rather than a real telling-off. Use it sparingly in a busy chat so the outburst still surprises people.

Is the Stamata scream too much for a calm family video?

Usually yes for a gentle montage, because the outburst turns a small disagreement into the main event. Save it for chaotic home clips, pranks between relatives, and moments where everyone on screen is already laughing together afterwards.
