The exact origin of this audio is unclear, but the phrase 'tem um gosto meio roxo' circulates as a Brazilian Portuguese meme sound, the kind of odd one-liner that thrives as a WhatsApp audio and short-form meme clip. Its humor comes from synesthesia played straight, describing taste with a color. With only two seconds of runtime, it works as a quick reaction insert on TikTok and Instagram edits, where creators pair it with tasting videos, purple foods, or surreal situations that need an instant absurd commentary.
About this sound
Short voice clip of someone saying 'tem um gosto meio roxo' in Portuguese, meaning it tastes kind of purple. Used in funny food tasting memes and absurd edits.
This is a two-second voice clip featuring a casual Brazilian Portuguese speaker delivering the odd line 'tem um gosto meio roxo,' which translates to 'it tastes kind of purple.' The delivery is deadpan and matter-of-fact, which makes the nonsense description even funnier, as the speaker treats an impossible flavor as completely normal. The recording sounds close-mic and intimate, like a WhatsApp audio or stream reaction. Hearing it creates instant confusion and laughter because it pairs a confident tasting note with a color that has no flavor, making it perfect for absurd punchlines.
