Tung Tung Tung Sahur became one of the best-known characters from the Italian brainrot trend that spread on TikTok in 2025. The character is an anthropomorphic wooden log carrying a baseball bat, created with AI-generated imagery and paired with a nonsense Italian-style voiceover and a repetitive knocking sound. Clips of the character were remixed into edits, games, songs and reaction videos, and the knocking rhythm became instantly recognisable even without the visuals. Its simple, absurd humour helped it cross from TikTok into YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, where creators still use it to signal a dramatic or silly entrance.
About this sound
The Tung Tung Tung Sahur sound effect from the viral Italian brainrot meme, with a deep wooden knocking beat. Perfect for funny edits and reaction videos.
This is the rhythmic knocking sound associated with Tung Tung Tung Sahur, the wooden log character from the Italian brainrot meme. It repeats a deep, hollow tung tung tung pattern, like someone tapping a thick piece of wood with a bat, steady and slightly ominous but playful at the same time. The simple beat instantly signals that something strange, dramatic or funny is about to happen, which is why it works so well as a build-up in short videos. Listeners recognise it within a second, and that recognition creates anticipation, turning an ordinary reveal into a joke that feels bigger, louder and more absurd than the moment itself.
