Tuturu comes from Mayuri Shiina in Steins;Gate, where her cheerful greeting became one of the series most quoted lines among anime fans. Funkytown was released by Lipps Inc. in 1980 and became a defining disco hit with its bright synths and repetitive hook. Mashups like this one spread because the two parts fit perfectly: a short, instantly recognised voice clip set against a confident, looping groove. The original Tuturu sound alone is often used as a cute greeting, while this version stretches it into a full meme entrance.
About this sound
Tuturu Funkytown mixes Mayuri Shiina's cute greeting from Steins;Gate with the disco hit Funkytown for a playful anime meme sound effect clip.
Tuturu Funkytown is a mashup that drops Mayuri Shiina's bright, chirpy Tuturu greeting over the bouncy disco groove of Funkytown by Lipps Inc. The contrast is instant: a sweet anime voice riding a funky bassline, synth stabs and that unmistakable singalong chorus. It turns a simple hello into a full entrance theme, sounding cheerful, silly and strangely confident. The joke lands because the delivery stays cute while the music struts like a dancefloor anthem, making even a mundane moment feel like a grand arrival.
