There is no single viral clip or famous character attached to this whizzing glissando, so it works as a general-purpose sound effect rather than a quoted meme. Rising slides like this have long been used in animation and comedy to signal speed, surprise and upward motion, and the same idea now appears in short-form videos, streams and edited memes. Because listeners recognise the shape instantly without needing context, creators can reuse it across very different jokes, transitions and reveals while keeping the timing light and playful.
About this sound
A fast, rising whizzing glissando sound effect that sweeps upward in pitch, often used for comic transitions, cartoon motion and reveals in videos and memes.
This clip is a single whizzing glissando, a smooth slide that rushes upward through the pitch range like air escaping past a fast-moving object. It starts low and thin, gathers speed and brightness as it climbs, then settles with a light, almost cartoonish lift rather than a hard impact. The movement feels quick and weightless, so it draws the eye to whatever appears, moves or changes on screen. Editors use it to make a cut feel intentional, a reveal feel sudden and a joke land a beat earlier, without adding dialogue or music.
