Yellow Diamond is one of the leaders of the Diamond Authority in Steven Universe, the Cartoon Network animated series about the Crystal Gems, and she is known for her strict, impatient and commanding presence. Her line shut your mouth fits that personality perfectly, which is why fans lifted it from the show and shared it as a short reaction sound. On soundboards and in fan edits it is used to end arguments, mock long-winded explanations and play up her authority, and its brief length makes it easy to drop into videos, memes and chats without losing the joke.
About this sound
Yellow Diamond's sharp 'Shut your mouth' line from Steven Universe, delivered in her commanding voice for silencing arguments, edits and reaction memes.
This short clip captures Yellow Diamond, the towering and authoritative Gem leader from Steven Universe, snapping the words shut your mouth in a cold, clipped and impatient tone. Her voice is low, firm and deliberately controlled, with no shouting, which makes the dismissal feel even more final and intimidating. The line lands in just under two seconds, cutting straight through any argument and leaving a beat of silence behind it. For viewers who know the character, it instantly signals power, frustration and a refusal to listen further, making it a sharp punchline for edits where someone needs to be told to stop talking.
