This clip comes from a user-generated soundboard upload with no documented original recording, and it lives in the loose family of pirate meme sounds that pop up around Talk Like a Pirate Day and swashbuckling game streams. The combination of a shouted yaaar and an immediate hearty laugh makes it a handy two-in-one reaction, so meme editors reach for it as both a victory shout and a laugh track in one. Its short runtime keeps it easy to drop into fast-paced edits.
About this sound
A short pirate-style shout of 'yaaar' followed by a loud, hearty laugh, used as a goofy victory or joke-punchline sound effect in memes and edits.
This short clip opens with a drawn-out pirate-style yell of yaaar that stretches for a couple of seconds before breaking into a loud, rolling laugh. The voice is playful and over-the-top, somewhere between a cartoon pirate celebrating a treasure find and a friend messing around at a party. The shout is theatrical and raspy, and the laugh that follows is warm, hearty and completely unselfconscious. Hearing it feels instantly silly and victorious, the kind of sound that makes a scene feel like a prank just paid off or a ridiculous plan actually worked. It is pure goofy energy packed into about two and a half seconds.
