The chant comes from The Inbetweeners, the British sitcom following four awkward teenagers, and appears in the episode A Night Out in London, when the boys travel across the capital for a night out. Fans singled out the brief bus scene as the episode's funniest moment and shared it as a short clip on soundboards and social media. It has lasted because it is instantly recognisable to viewers of the show, easy to drop into night out videos, and captures the series' mix of crude humour and teenage overconfidence.

The bus wankers chant from The Inbetweeners episode A Night Out in London, shouted by the boys on a night bus. Fans use it for British comedy memes.
This is a short, rowdy shout from The Inbetweeners, with the four friends chanting bus wankers together on a crowded night bus in London. Their voices overlap, loud and gleefully rude, turning a dull journey into a moment of teenage bravado and shared embarrassment. It sounds less like a polished catchphrase and more like a drunken singalong, which is exactly why it lands. Hearing it instantly brings back the show's awkward humour, the feeling of being young, loud and slightly out of control in public, and the joke works best when it catches listeners off guard.
