Darth Nihilus first appeared in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords, released in 2004 by Obsidian Entertainment. Known as the Lord of Hunger, the masked Sith Lord survived by consuming the Force and speaks only in distorted ancient Sith, which gives this clip its ghostly sound. While less mainstream than Darth Vader, Nihilus became a cult favourite through games, expanded lore, and fan communities, and his voice is still shared online for its unique, empty menace.

Darth Nihilus voice sound effect from Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II, featuring his distorted Sith speech used for dark villain edits and memes.
This clip captures Darth Nihilus speaking in his hollow, distorted voice, a layered whisper mixed with deep reverberation and unintelligible Sith language. It does not sound like normal dialogue but like a void talking, empty and consuming. The effect is immediately unsettling and powerful, making any scene feel darker and more ominous. Viewers recognise the hunger and dread behind the sound even without understanding the words, which is why the audio works so well for villain introductions, horror edits, and moments meant to feel cold, ancient, and threatening.
