No clear original recording, performer or year is documented for this clip, so its history is really the history of its use as a shareable reaction sound online. Short vocal exclamations like the bruh sound and the stretched faaah cry circulate the same way, passed between edits as instant shorthand for a feeling. This one spread because the spelling and the sound match perfectly: anyone seeing euggghhhhh already hears the disgust. It remains popular for gross-out jokes, cringe compilations and exaggerated responses where a normal reaction would be too short.

An extended euggghhhhh groan sound effect for disgust, cringe and secondhand embarrassment, used in memes, edits and reaction videos online.
This is a long, drawn-out vocal groan that stretches the word eugh into a slow, disgusted wail lasting over ten seconds. The voice starts low and strained, then drags on with exaggerated revulsion, making the reaction feel bigger with every second it refuses to end. It does not sound genuinely angry or scared, which is why it lands as comedy. Viewers instantly read it as cringe, nausea or total disbelief at something gross or awkward, and the sheer length turns a simple reaction into the joke itself, building anticipation before a cut or punchline.
