Momentz is a track by Gorillaz from their fifth studio album, Humanz, released in 2017, featuring De La Soul. The album leaned into electronic and hip-hop collaborations, and Momentz stood out for its driving rhythm and playful energy. Short clips from the track later circulated on soundboards and in short-form edits, where creators lifted brief bursts rather than full verses. Its brevity and bold beat keep it useful as a quick accent, especially for viewers who recognise Gorillaz instantly from just a fraction of a second.

A clip from the Gorillaz track Momentz on the Humanz album, driven by a punchy electronic beat. Creators use it as an intro or transition in edits and memes.
The Momentz clip is a sub-second burst of Gorillaz's electronic hip-hop energy, built around a driving synth riff and a hard-hitting beat that lands instantly. It feels bold, playful and slightly chaotic, like the opening punch of a larger track cut down to a single moment. Because it is so short, it grabs attention without explaining itself, making a scene feel faster, louder and more confident. Viewers tend to register it as a flash of attitude rather than a melody, which is why it works so well as a sudden accent in a short video.
