The Indominus Rex, often shortened to I-Rex, is the hybrid dinosaur created for Jurassic World in 2015 as the park's new attraction and main antagonist. Its vocalisations were designed from layered animal recordings to sound larger and less familiar than a T-Rex. Clips of the growls spread through soundboards and editing communities, where this second growl became a reusable cue for dinosaur attacks, monster teases and creature reveals far beyond the film itself.

Deep Indominus Rex roar from Jurassic World, a low dinosaur sound effect used for monster reveals, jumpscares and tense creature video edits.
The Indominus Rex growl is a deep, guttural dinosaur roar with a rumbling chest tone and a sharp, snarling finish. It starts low and threatening, then rises into an aggressive bellow that feels close, huge and predatory. There is no speech or music, just layered animal menace that instantly signals danger off screen. In a video the sound makes a doorway, jungle or dark corridor feel occupied by something enormous, and viewers brace for an attack even before the creature appears on camera at all.
