About this sound

This 3.5-second clip is John Cena as Peacemaker asking, 'do you really want to taste it?' in a calm, flat voice that turns the question into a dare. It feels awkwardly funny and tense at once, because the polite wording hides a threat to call someone's bluff. The line comes from the 2022 DC television series created by James Gunn.

How to use this button

Play it after a friend brags about eating something disgusting without flinching.
Use it when a coworker claims their idea cannot possibly fail.
Add it to a clip where a teammate insists their terrible cooking is delicious.
Play it as the reply when a gamer talks big before losing badly.

Where people drop it

TikTok
Use it as a stitch reply to a creator who dares followers to try a viral challenge.
YouTube
Use it as the cutaway line in a meme compilation after a boastful character speaks.
Discord
Send it in a group chat when a friend issues a dare in the middle of a debate.
WhatsApp
Share it as a voice reply when a friend dares you to taste something strange.

Pro tip

Use it against one specific person in the edit, not a crowd, so the dare feels personal and the person being challenged cannot hide behind the group.

Good to know

Place it right after the boast as the turning point, then follow with the Law & Order Dun Dun sting to underline the challenge, and finish with Mortal Kombat Fatality once the challenger backs down or fails.

FAQ

Can I use the taste-it line as a ringtone on my phone?

Yes, the MP3 can be saved to your phone and set as a ringtone or notification tone in your phone's sound settings, so the dare plays when someone calls or messages you.

Will the taste-it dare land for viewers who have not watched Peacemaker?

Yes, the dare works on its own because the challenge is clear without the show, and viewers who know the character will also catch the extra joke in the delivery.

What kind of food video works best with the taste-it line?

Spicy food challenges, gross food dares and overconfident cooking claims work best, because the line directly answers someone insisting a strange dish is easy to eat.
