Happy Place is a song by Oh Hush!, the indie-pop project of musician Zach Oh-hush (real name), featuring singer Hanna Ashby. The track became a sleeper hit online thanks to its irresistibly cheerful chorus, which fits perfectly into the short-form video era. Creators on TikTok and YouTube began using it as background music for feel-good edits, travel vlogs and lifestyle content, and its five-second hook works as well as a meme sound as it does as a full song. Its staying power comes from simplicity: happiness without irony.
