About this sound

Leonid Yakubovich saying spin the drum from Pole Chudes, the Russian Wheel of Fortune show. A short voice clip used for game reveals and meme edits.

This is Leonid Yakubovich delivering his signature command to spin the drum, captured in a bright, theatrical game show tone. His voice is warm, booming and unmistakably cheerful, stretching the phrase with the familiar rhythm contestants hear before a letter is revealed. At just over a second long, the clip lands instantly and needs no context. It creates a feeling of anticipation and playful suspense, turning an ordinary choice or random pick into a staged television moment full of ceremony, luck and exaggerated importance.

Pro tip

Place the clip right before a wheel, randomiser or reveal appears on screen, and cut on the final syllable of drum. Pair it with a spinning graphic and a brief pause afterwards, but do not loop it or bury it under music.

How people use it

Introducing a random wheel spin in a stream
Revealing a prize winner during a giveaway video
Punctuating a lucky guess in a quiz edit
Turning a friend's decision into a game show

More information

Leonid Yakubovich has hosted Pole Chudes, the Russian version of Wheel of Fortune, since 1991, after the show launched in 1990. His instruction to spin the drum is the cue that starts each turn, as contestants spin a large wheel divided into scoring sectors to guess letters in a hidden phrase. The line became one of Russian television's most recognisable catchphrases and later circulated online as a short reaction sound, reused whenever a video involves chance, a wheel or a dramatic reveal.
