The phrase plays on it is Wednesday, my dudes, a viral meme that spread from a 2014 Vine of a Budgett's frog followed by a scream, later remixed across YouTube and meme pages. This spaghetti day version keeps the same drawn out yell but changes the announcement to food, which let it travel as a reaction clip for pasta posts, cooking videos and weekday jokes. It stays in use because the format is instantly familiar, even when the day or dish changes.
About this sound
A voice shouting it is spaghetti day, my dudes in a drawn out scream, based on the it is Wednesday my dudes meme. Used for food posts and weekday jokes.
This clip takes the familiar my dudes meme delivery and swaps the weekday announcement for spaghetti day, turning it into a loud food themed declaration. A male voice builds up and then lets out a long, drawn out scream of Aaaaaaaaaaah that carries most of the six seconds. It sounds silly, overly dramatic and instantly recognisable to anyone who knows the original Wednesday version. Viewers use it as a punchline because the excitement is wildly out of proportion to announcing pasta, which makes an ordinary meal feel like a major event.
