About this sound

A short, shocked reaction to the horror film Saw 1, ideal for jump scare edits, horror movie reactions, and funny surprise moments in videos.

This short clip captures a startled reaction to Saw 1, the kind of gasp, shout, or stunned silence that follows a sudden twist or gruesome reveal in the horror film. It sounds immediate and unfiltered, like someone watching the movie for the first time and caught completely off guard. The brief burst of shock makes it easy to drop into edits, where it signals fear, disbelief, or horror without needing any explanation. Listeners instantly recognise the feeling, even if they have never seen the film, because the reaction is so human and relatable.

Pro tip

Place it right on the frame where the twist or scare lands, not a second early, and cut the music underneath so the gasp hits cleanly. Pair it with a quick zoom or freeze frame, and avoid using it twice in one short edit.
