Siegward of Catarina, the Onion Knight of Dark Souls 3, is a fan-favourite companion players meet several times on their journey through Lothric, recognisable by his rounded Catarina armour and his cheerful, honourable manner. His short, surprised vocal reactions have become a shorthand among Souls players for gentle disbelief, and clips of them circulate in gameplay compilations, streams and meme edits long after the game's release. The sound endures because it is instantly recognisable to fans, funny without being aggressive, and easy to drop over almost any unexpected moment.
About this sound
The Onion Knight oh sound from Dark Souls 3 captures Siegward of Catarina's surprised reaction, often used in gameplay edits and meme videos for shock moments.
This short clip captures the Onion Knight's brief, startled 'oh' from Dark Souls 3, delivered in the weary, good-natured voice of Siegward of Catarina as he reacts to something unexpected in the game world. It is not a long speech or a battle cry, just a single soft exclamation that lands with gentle surprise and a touch of comic understatement. Because the character is beloved for his round armour, earnest optimism and habit of turning up in unlikely places, the sound instantly reads as friendly bewilderment, making a failed jump, a sudden enemy or an awkward reveal feel funnier without turning the moment into outright panic.
