Listed on soundboards under the Spanish title risas medias, meaning medium laughs, this clip is a generic laughter sound rather than a line from a specific show or film. That anonymity is part of its appeal, as creators can drop it into any comedy edit without tying the joke to a character or scene. It is shared as a short downloadable audio file for memes, reaction videos and chat messages, where a brief, believable laugh is needed. Because it sits in the middle range of intensity, it remains useful for humour that is funny but not over the top.
About this sound
A medium burst of natural human laughter lasting about five seconds, often used to react to a joke or awkward moment in videos, memes and short clips.
This is a short burst of medium-strength laughter, neither a quiet chuckle nor a full belly laugh, but the kind of warm, shared laugh you hear when a joke lands in a room. Several voices rise together for just under five seconds, with a natural, unforced rhythm that feels spontaneous rather than staged. It does not overpower dialogue or music, which makes it easy to layer underneath a reaction shot or a punchline. For the viewer, it works as a social cue, signalling that something is funny without needing an explanation, and it can turn a mildly amusing moment into one that feels genuinely shared.
