Roadman Shaq began as a character created by British comedian Michael Dapaah for his online mockumentary series. In 2017 he performed a freestyle as the character on BBC Radio 1Xtra's Fire in the Booth, and a short section about never taking off his jacket spread widely online. The performance was later released as the single Man's Not Hot, climbing charts and spawning remixes, quotes and reaction videos. Its mix of grime parody and catchphrases kept it circulating long after the original broadcast, especially in short meme edits.
About this sound
Roadman Shaq performs his viral freestyle Man's Not Hot, insisting he never gets hot in a jacket. Creators use it for bragging, flex and overheating memes.
This clip captures Roadman Shaq, the character played by comedian Michael Dapaah, delivering the deadpan hook of Man's Not Hot. Over a simple grime beat he repeats that he is never hot, even while wearing a jacket, listing temperatures with complete confidence. The joke lands on the contrast between the serious delivery, the thick accent and the absurd logic, making the short excerpt instantly quotable. Listeners hear a brag that is meant to be ridiculous, which is why the sound works as a reaction to overconfidence and stubborn denial.
