About this sound

Roi Heenok's drawn-out “haaaan… ouais” ad-lib, a funny French rap reaction sound. This short voice clip fits memes, edits and hype moments perfectly.

This is the sound of French rapper Roi Heenok stretching a single syllable into pure comedy: a deep, theatrical 'haaaan' that climbs and wobbles before landing on a casual, almost reluctant 'ouais'. It is equal parts hype-man energy and deadpan shrug, the kind of ad-lib that sounds like someone being dragged into agreement. Dropped into an edit, it turns any over-the-top claim or reluctant victory into a joke, giving viewers that knowing laugh of recognition. The contrast between the exaggerated groan and the flat sign-off is what makes it land every time.

Pro tip

Drop the 'haaaan' right as the reveal or punchline lands, then let the 'ouais' close the joke before cutting. Pair it with a slow zoom or a freeze-frame; avoid layering it over dialogue, since the drawled syllables need empty space to breathe.

How people use it

Reacting to a friend's terrible but confident take.
Celebrating a clumsy, last-second video game win.
Agreeing sarcastically with an obvious statement.
Hype up a dramatic before-and-after reveal.
