About this sound

Short SCPSL voice line announcing to prepare an ambush from SCP Secret Laboratory, used for tactical edits, gaming memes and surprise attack setups.

This is a brief, clipped command delivered in a flat military radio style, lasting just over a second. The speaker orders units to prepare an ambush, with a tense, urgent delivery that cuts off cleanly. There is no music or background noise, just the stark announcement, which makes the moment feel like a trap is about to spring. Listeners instantly read it as a warning that enemies are waiting ahead, so even without gameplay footage the line creates suspense and a sudden sense of danger before anything happens on screen.

Pro tip

Drop it right before a corner peek or door opens, then cut to silence for half a beat. Let the flat radio delivery sit dry without reverb, and reveal the ambush on the next frame so the short command lands like an order.

How people use it

Add tension before a jump scare reveal clip.
Punctuate tactical team plays in shooter montages online.

More information

The clip comes from SCP: Secret Laboratory, the multiplayer horror game based on the SCP Foundation collaborative fiction universe, first released in 2017. In game, short radio and announcement lines coordinate factions fighting to escape or contain breaches inside a facility. Players clipped commands like this one for soundboards because the delivery is instantly readable out of context. It spread through Discord servers, gaming edits and meme videos where a serious military order contrasts with a silly or low stakes ambush.
