The sound comes from Family Guy, the animated series created by Seth MacFarlane that premiered in 1999, where MacFarlane also voices Stewie Griffin, the articulate baby obsessed with his mother Lois. A scene of Stewie endlessly calling for her became one of the show's most quoted running gags, clipped and reposted across forums, video edits and soundboards. Its simple, escalating repetition made it easy to reuse for any needy or attention seeking moment, which is why it remains a staple reaction clip long after the episode aired.
About this sound
Stewie Griffin calling for his mother Lois in Family Guy, saying ma, mama and mommy over and over. Used for annoying, needy or funny pestering moments in edits.
This clip captures Stewie Griffin in full pestering mode, cycling through ma, mama, mommy and mom in his posh, insistent voice while trying to get Lois to pay attention. The repetition starts cute and quickly turns deliberately annoying, which is exactly the joke. Each call gets a little more urgent and whiny, building a rhythm that feels familiar to anyone who has been followed around by a demanding child or pet. Played on its own or over video, it instantly signals someone will not stop asking until they get an answer.
