Coming to America is a 1988 comedy starring Eddie Murphy as Prince Akeem, an African prince who travels to Queens to find a wife. Early in the film, his morning bath is handled by royal attendants in an overly ceremonial way, ending with the clean announcement delivered to his father the king. The scene became one of the film's most quoted moments, shared widely as a short clip and soundboard sound because the formal phrasing works perfectly out of context for jokes about bathing, cleanliness and being pampered.
