About this sound

A creepy anime-style yandere laugh clipped from a short YouTube video, used in anime girl obsession memes, TikToks, and dramatic reaction edits.

This is a high-pitched, unhinged anime laugh with the sing-song wobble of the classic yandere archetype, the obsessive schoolgirl who switches from sweet to menacing in a single giggle. It starts breathy and lilting, then climbs into sharper, echoing bursts that sound like she is enjoying something sinister. At just over nine seconds it gives editors a full emotional arc to work with: setup, escalation, and a lingering creepy finish. Listeners immediately recognize the trope, which makes it land fast even in viewers who have never watched the source anime.

Pro tip

Drop this laugh right after a zoom-in on your character's face so the pitch climbs with the reveal. Keep it at full volume over quiet scenes and cut any background music first, because the sing-song wobble gets lost under bass-heavy tracks.

How people use it

Punchline for an obsessive anime girlfriend meme
Reaction to a twist in a gaming video
Soundtrack for a creepy TikTok edit
Cue after a plot twist in edits

More information

This clip comes from a YouTube video uploaded under the title 'Yukers' Yandere Laugh', where it circulated among anime fans before reaching the soundboard. The yandere laugh itself is one of anime's most imitated sounds, popularized by characters like Yuno Gasai from Future Diary, whose possessive giggle became shorthand for unhinged devotion across the fandom. Editors now use the sound far beyond anime circles, dropping it into memes and reaction videos wherever a joke needs a sudden turn from sweet to sinister.

FAQ
