The sound comes from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, where Dio Brando's Stand, The World, can stop time for several seconds, and he announces it with this dramatic cry. Anime fans turned the moment into a widely shared editing meme, freezing videos mid-action and letting the booming audio mark the pause. It spread through online edits, short-form clips and JoJo fan videos, where it is often followed by a To be Continued moment. Its appeal has lasted because the shout is instantly recognisable, even to viewers who have never watched the series.
About this sound

The clip captures Dio Brando unleashing his Stand, The World, in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, shouting the Japanese name for it in a deep, theatrical voice before time itself seems to stop. A sudden, booming impact and heavy echo follow the shout, making the moment feel huge and unstoppable. The audio is deliberately loud and dramatic, with a long, ringing tail that leaves a beat of silence for the joke or reveal to land. For viewers, it instantly signals that everything is about to freeze, change, or go completely over the top.
