Chef Saltbaker is the main antagonist and final boss of The Delicious Last Course, the Cuphead expansion released by Studio MDHR in 2022. Presented first as a friendly baker in his salt mines bakery storyline, he is later revealed to be using the heroes to gather ingredients for a Wondertart that would give him control of the astral plane. His boss fight and exaggerated voice performance made his lines and laughs popular as reaction clips, and this cackle is now shared in gaming edits as shorthand for a smug cartoon villain.

Chef Saltbaker's evil laugh from Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, a short villain cackle creators use for scheming reveals and boss moments.
This is Chef Saltbaker's short, theatrical laugh from his boss encounter, delivered in a deep, booming voice that rises into a smug, villainous cackle. The clip lasts just over two seconds, with a clear attack and a lingering echo that makes the character sound delighted by his own plan. It instantly signals arrogance and hidden danger rather than genuine amusement. Viewers familiar with Cuphead recognize the tone right away, while others still read it as a classic cartoon villain celebrating a trap, which is why the sound lands even without any visuals.
