Chuchel comes from Amanita Design's 2018 point-and-click comedy Chuchel, where the hairy protagonist screams, sulks and sobs his way after a stolen cherry. Jeffy, the puppet character from the SML YouTube series, became famous for the opposite kind of performance, a loud nasal whine and cry used for tantrums. Fans paired the two because their over-the-top childish meltdowns sound alike, and the clip spread on soundboards among other goofy ahh sounds shared for reaction edits, gaming fails and short meme videos where exaggerated crying is the whole joke.

A 5-second clip of Chuchel whining and sobbing in a high-pitched Jeffy-style cry, used as a goofy reaction for tantrums, fails and fake meltdowns.
This is Chuchel, the fuzzy orange hero of the puzzle game Chuchel, breaking into an exaggerated whiny cry that sounds just like Jeffy. The five seconds are pure drawn-out sobbing, hiccupping gasps and high-pitched wails with no words, building from a sniffle into a full tantrum. It feels childish, theatrical and deliberately annoying in a funny way, so the moment it plays over a clip the character on screen stops looking upset and starts looking ridiculous. Viewers read it instantly as fake distress, overreaction and goofy ahh comedy rather than real sadness.
