Cloudy is a recurring contestant in Battle for Dream Island, the animated web series created by Jacknjellify, and later appeared in Battle for BFB and The Power of Two. Fans clip his lines because his gentle delivery contrasts with the show's chaotic eliminations and slapstick destruction. Rest in pieces spread through BFDI edits and soundboards as a reaction to characters being broken, popped or voted out, and it remains popular with editors who grew up with the series and still use its voices for meme remixes.

Cloudy saying rest in pieces from Battle for Dream Island, a darkly funny BFDI reaction clip used for character deaths and fails in edits and memes.
This clip features Cloudy, the soft spoken white cloud contestant from Battle for Dream Island, delivering the line rest in pieces in his light, airy voice. The joke lands because the familiar farewell rest in peace is twisted into something more literal and brutal, as if the character being mourned has been torn apart. Cloudy sounds calm and almost sweet while saying it, which makes the line feel even darker and funnier. That contrast turns a goodbye into a perfect punchline for animated deaths, eliminations and sudden defeats.
