The sound comes from ITV reality series The Only Way Is Essex, built from a stretched sample of Gemma Collins arguing with Arj. Clips from the show have long circulated online as reaction audio because its cast deliver arguments in heightened, quotable ways. This particular line was reshaped from its original scene into a warped meme sound, spreading through soundboards and short edits rather than full episode clips. It remains popular because the phrase works out of context, turning small disputes, gaming rivalries and mock threats into exaggerated television drama.

Stretched audio of Gemma Collins arguing with Arj in The Only Way Is Essex saying I'm gonna ruin you, used as a dramatic reality TV reaction sound.
This clip is a stretched, slowed sample of Gemma Collins mid-argument with Arj, delivering the threat I'm gonna ruin you with exaggerated reality TV venom. The pitch and timing feel warped, making her voice drag and swell beyond the original exchange. It lands less as a real threat and more as camp melodrama, which is why viewers read it as funny rather than frightening. The stretched delivery stretches the tension too, letting the line hang awkwardly before it resolves, perfect for punctuating petty fallouts, overblown confrontations and jokes about someone taking a minor disagreement far too seriously in everyday situations.
