KappaPride is a rainbow-striped variant of Kappa, the iconic Twitch emote based on the face of former Justin.tv staffer Josh DeSeno, and it has become shorthand for playful pride and banter in streaming chat. Paired with 'Mavs,' the nickname of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, the clip took shape as a fan-made meme sound that circulates on Twitch streams, Discord servers and highlight edits. Mavericks supporters drop it during big moments and trash-talk exchanges, where the emote's winking energy turns routine fandom into a running joke.
