The Suicider is a special infected enemy introduced in Dead Island, the 2011 open world zombie game by Techland. Unlike ordinary zombies, this type was once human enough to call out for help, a detail players remember because the cry lures you closer before the creature detonates itself. Clips of the scream were later ripped from the game and shared on soundboards and in gaming edits, where the desperate delivery turned a horror moment into a reusable meme for panic, traps and hopeless situations online.

It creates instant alarm and dark humour at the same time, because the plea sounds genuine for a second before you remember the creature saying it is about to explode.
